Although I have always had a passion and interest in wood and all things wooden, I have spent the past 30 years running a small manufacturing company.
Eventually I decided to risk combining 'business with pleasure' by developing my creative nature whilst using my practical skills.
Some time ago on a visit to the American Museum in Bath I was inspired by the Shaker design and philosophy. The lines of the furniture were timeless and stylish. In short, practicality and beauty in perfect balance. The concept of cleanliness and order seemed so modern.
The Shaker storage boxes epitomised for me all these concepts. I take pleasure in making them and they have that very tangible pleasing warmth that wood brings to any interior.
